It looks like it came from Mexico, or further south. But I haven't seen one exactly like that.
At first I thought it was a kind of totem pole. It is different.
I think it's specifically designed for growing strawberries.

we have 'strawberry pots' here, which are similar but not so tall. It's the same idea where one pot has many openings for plants
I like this pot better, though. The little guy gives it character!
